Recipe: Chocolate Chip Muffins

minus 4 muffins later, there were 12 of them
This week I have a recipe for you! Since I have a lot more time now I have been baking a little and made these muffins. Keep on reading if you're interested and want to make these! They're deliciousss

Ingredients:

300g self raising flour
130g caster sugar
10g vanilla sugar
160ml milk
125g melted butter
1 egg
muffin tray(s)
12 cupcake/muffin cases
chocolate chips (you can choose how many you would like)

You can make 12 muffins with this recipe.

On to the baking part

First off, I will pre heat my oven at 180 degrees. Next I will melt the butter and when that's done and I've let it cool of I will add the milk and the egg. These are all wet ingredients that I will mix together and when I get a nice and even mixture I will move on to the dry ingredients. So I will take a little bit of the self raising flour and I will mix it with the chocolate chips (I do this with my hands) and I will put it to the side. Next I will add what's left of the self raising flour to the mixture I already made. When all of the self raising flour is mixed in with the wet ingredients I will then add the vanilla sugar and the caster sugar.

So when that's mixed all together, I will finally add the chocolate chips that are mixed with a little flour into the mixture. The reason why I have taken a little of the self raising flour and mixed it with the chocolate chips is because when you add these chocolate chips to the mixture without the flour they will all be at the bottom of the muffin. And that's not what we want right? When you make chocolate chip muffins you want to have the chocolate chips spread all over your muffin so that's a little trick for you.

So then you can put the batter into your muffin cases. Fill each one of them to when about 2/3 of the case is filled. Then they're ready to go into the oven and you can leave them for 20-25 minutes. To check if they're ready you can take them out of the oven and put a toothpick into one of the muffins and when there's no batter onto the tooth pick, they're ready!!
