AUSTRIA HAUL PART 1| Beauty + skincare
Hello, as you can see today's post is going to be an Austria haul! I went on holiday to Austria this year and I've been loving it and of course.. I also went to check their drugstores and went to see if they had any good stuff.
A couple of years ago I went to Germany and there I got to know their local drugstores called "Müller" and dm. They also have a store called Douglas where you can find a little more high end makeup and stuff. I wasn't expecting to see these stores when visiting Austria but apparently they do have some of the same stores because I saw a "dm" and a Douglas. Another drugstore that I got to know was "Bipa", they also got quite a few of these in Austria. These are the stores that I recommend if you're looking for some skincare/makeup products. Sometimes they have brands that I will not find in Belgium, or they do have the same brand but they will be cheaper or more expensive.
On the first day I was already standing in the "Bipa" store with a couple of things in my hands. The first product being a cleanser from the brand Super Facialist which was a brand I actually didn't know, but when I read the packaging I thought I'd give it a try, apparently it's British. The other thing that I got my hands on were glycolicfix daily cleansing pads by Nip+Fab. I had already heard from that brand before but I did not know any more details about it or what their bestsellers were so I picked out a random product to try out.
On the third/fourth day my lips were a little sunburned and of course I had forgotten to bring a lipbalm with me. Because of the sunburned lips, I bought two eos lipbalms because they were a little cheaper than in Belgium. The pink one is with coconut milk and the yellow one is with lemon and has spf 15. If I read it right (it's in German) I think it's also waterproof, so that's really nice.
Last but not least skinecarewise I bought a hydrating cleansing gel by the brand Neutrogena. For skincare, Neutrogena is one of my favourite brands, I love using their Pomegranate range. This however is part of their Hydroboost range and since I have oily skin I tend to stay far faaar away from these products, but something attracted me to this product. And that was the fact that it said "new" and that it's a cleansing gel that removes your makeup. I've been on the look out for a cleanser that removes my makeup so I'm looking forward to try this.
Now on to "beauty" there isn't really that much..just some brushes from Zoeva. A couple of years ago the brand Zoeva got really famous for their brushes that are really good. So I thought it was the perfect time to go to Germany but oh... when I was in the store I didn't see the Zoeva brushes and when I asked the girl in the shop if she had them she said she had never heard of that brand before... so that was a bummer.. but now finally they have them in every Douglas store and since I needed more eyeshadow brushes I bought the 232 Luxe classic shader which I think is going to be perfect for applying an eyeshadow all over the lid because the brush is really flat. I also bought a 225 Eye blender brush. I was in desperate need of another blending brush because sometimes I want to use more than just 2/3 colours on my eyes and that's when I don't have enough good brushes to do this look. And finally I bought the 105 Luxe highlight brush because I'm planning on getting a powder highlight and I thought this would be a good brush for applying that.
