Roller lash by Benefit

MY MASCARA CONFESSION

Almost every girl's favourite makeup product is mascara. When you ask girls: if there's only one makeup product that you can use for the rest of your life what will it be? Of course not everyone is going to say mascara, but most of them do say mascara. A lot of girls in my high school would wear no makeup, but they would wear mascara. You can feel it coming... I am not one of those girls. 

Mascara and I, it's a love-hate relationship, mostly hate. I love wearing eye shadow and once I've applied it, I feel like I have to wear mascara otherwise it looks a bit weird. But that's also the part where I mess everything up. I have bought the Maybelline Falsies mascara and I like it, but my lashes never look the same as everyone else's? I have long lashes, but I find it very hard to curl them. Also, when applying mascara I try very hard to seperate them, but most of the time I will fail and it annoys me because I do not like the look of those clumpy, "spidery" lashes.

ELIXO MEETS BENEFIT ROLLER LASH

I know, I know, I'm very late to the party. I heard a lot of good things about the Benefit Roller Lash, but since mascara and I do not get along very well I have not bought another mascara. Shopping for mascara was something I did not really do since I was having a hard time with it. And now it has changed!

So the other day me and my best friend went shopping and before we knew it we were standing in front of the Benefit counter. She did not know the brand, no hate on her because the brand Benefit is relatively new here in Belgium. So you know, I was talking about the famous Hoola bronzer, my favourite eye cream and so on. 

I don't know why, but suddenly I was holding a tester of the Roller lash mascara in my hand and the next minute I was applying it. I already had some mascara on so I said "I don't know if this will turn out well since I'm already wearing mascara", but I still applied it on top of my dried mascara. While I was doing it my friend was like "WHAT? Are you wearing mascara I did not notice it." and when I was finished applying the Benefit Roller Lash, she told me that now she could see it. And I was pretty pleased myself because I saw such a difference! I did not apply much since I already had mascara on, but I could instantly see that my lashes were a lot more curled! So immediately I went and bought it, I was so happy because finally I might have found the one. 

REVIEW

I love this mascara! I think I've finally found the one! It's a thin brush and you can barely see the bristles on it but oh... it's so good. It really separates my lashes without it being clumpy, because the one problem I had with my previous mascara's was that my lashes would stick together. This mascara also curls my lashes very well, I do have to say my lashes aren't super curly with this mascara, but that's a difficulty I have with all mascara's and this one has done the best job at curling my lashes so far. For people who have naturally curled lashes it would look even more amazing I think. For my lashes it's just a little more curly, but certainly not bad. I also find that the curl lasts for a long time. 

I think that I won't be looking for another mascara anytime soon, but when I do buy a new one I will let you know of course ;).
