Smashbox x Casey Holmes: Spotlight Palette
Hey everyone
It's been a long time since I've posted something, but here I am again. I got a week off, which is not a lot, but I thought I would write a blogpost again. This time it's about the highlight palette from Smashbox featuring Casey Holmes, which I got for Christmas.
This palette comes in 2 colours: Pearl and Gold. Since my skin is very pale I went with Pearl. The first thing that caught my eye was that there were 3 shades in the palette and that I would actually wear all of them. Usually with these palettes, there is always one or two colours that are too dark or too light and that you end up not using, which is actually sad because you paid for it.
So as you can see on the picture there is a cooler colour, a warmer colour and then a more shimmery one. The first one is called "Turn it On", which I tend to use as an everyday highlighter, next to it you have "Crank it Up" and this one I use in the evenings because it's a warmer colour. Last but not least, you have "Blow a Fuse" and this one contains a lot more glitter. The higlights are visible on your face, but sutle so that's why I think she put the last colour in the palette. If you want extra shimmer, you can put this on top of your highlight, I've also used it as an eyeshadow. You can do a lot with this palette and I'm very happy with it!
The brushes I like to use with this palette are the Zoeva 105 Luxe Highlight Brush and the Real Techniques 300 Tapered Brush.
